Bella Hadid's Style Deserves More of Our Attention
Bella Hadid's style and ability as a model are now entirely unquestionable. In fashion circles, even the harshest critics have put aside any commentary centering around nepotism or undue fame—Bella is a bona fide modern super (with seriously super cheekbones). She won Model of the Year at Daily Front Row's Fashion Los Angeles Awards in 2016 and recently garnered a nomination for the British Fashion Awards 2017 model of the year as well. And she continues to be one of the standout models at fashion week: From Versace and Michael Kors, she has been a firm fixture on the A/W 18 runway. She might have walked alongside her sister on occasion, but the brunette—a natural blonde who went dark to be different—is no second-rate Gigi.
"I just have a darker personality," she told Allure of the colour change. "Blondes are so angelic. My sister can get away with anything." So Bella's look is perhaps, unsurprisingly, more adventurous than that of her sister's. Where Gigi does super-casual with aplomb and can often be found in super-chic grey-on-grey tonal ensembles, this sibling's wardrobe is noticeably sassier.
From gothic outfits to streetwear ensembles, Bella is happy to experiment with different looks. More recently, she's added a ladylike twist to her style, featuring plenty of minidresses and slingbacks. And we're not the only ones who have spotted this, if her 15 million Instagram followers are anything to go by. Keep scrolling to take a look at why we rate Bella Hadid's style so much.
